Dear Colleagues-- I will be providing 54 min. of release time @ to 14 K-5 teachers this school year. Since the time must be provided in blocks of at least 28 minutes, I have 2 choices: 54 min. blocks or blocks of 35-40 minutes, the balance (14-18 min.) being an extra book exchange time tacked onto another "special." I'm leaning toward 54 minute blocks, primarily in the computer lab, for grades 4-5 (no lab teacher this year.) But what's the best choice for grades 1-3? Are there other alternatives? In the past I've had a fairly fixed schedule, but had the freedom from providing release time for most classes, which I took in smaller groups for 1/2 hour periods. I am employed full-time, with half of that to be used for release time. --Anne Anne Colvin, Librarian Mitchell Elementary School Ann Arbor, MI =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
