I posted this message before school was in full swing and got very few responses. I thought I would try again now that everyone has rejoined us to see if the list members had anything to add. Several people told me to check in Books in Print or Books out of Print, but since these are short stories they are not listed. The teacher and I are still searching for the answers so...any help from the list would be greatly appreciated. TIA Angy Date: Wed, 16 Aug 2000 17:11:40 -0500 This is my first teacher question, so I want to make a good impression. I am hoping that the group can help. I have searched the internet and several different reference sites and can find many of the works, but cannot find the dates of publication. The teacher wants to know the dates of ORIGINAL publication for the following works: "A story without an end" by Mark Twain "Elegy for Jane" by Theodore Roethke "Hope is the thing with feathers" by Emily Dickinson "I have killed the deer" by Taos Pueble Indian The Walum Olum by Delaware Indians "Song of the Sky Loom" by Tewa Indian "Teenage Wasteland" by Anne Tyler "Village" by Estela Portillo "Unfinished Business" by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross "Plainswoman" by Williams Forrest "Auto Wreck" by Karl Shapiro "How to go on a date" by Delia Ephram If you could help me make a good impression, I would deeply appreciate it. ALSO - if you can recommend a good reference resource or website for future reference, I would like that too.
