Target> What are the essential elements of early internet instruction, specifically at grades 2 and 3? In the "old days" newly independent readers - students in grades 2 and 3 - were taught about "information books" and encyclopedias. Today they also will be using the internet for their earliest research projects. What should students in those grades know about using the internet to locate information? And what are your best strategies for teaching it? Send your ideas. I hope to post a two part hit: 1. What 2nd-3rd graders should know about Internet research and 2. Good strategies and lessons for teaching it.
