As part of our school improvement plan we are looking at alternative schedules. If your school has one could you contact me with its format. We DO NOT want a full block with full year courses taught in 1 semester, nor do we want the A/B block where classes only meet every other day. We are hoping to find some sort of modified block to meet the needs of all the curriculums, including those who want to see students more often. Secondly, we would like to add some sort of high school reading program, either with or without an actual reading teacher. We do not qualify for Title funding and so far have not been able to get the Board to hire a reading teacher. But we have lots of kids with reading problems and lots of kids who just need to read more. What does your school do to meet these needs?
