TARGET: EL: "amphitheater" seating in new library?

Greetings -

We will be building a new K-6 LMC this spring, and the architects have
suggested a three-level tier of seats for the storytelling section. They
would be built against a curved wall with windows above, with low
double-sided bookcases (free-standing) placed perpendicular to the seating
at either side to further define the area. I have very mixed feelings about
this, safety not being the least of my concerns. Does anyone have any
experience or recommendations pro or con?
