Dear Madeline and Netters, Mcaffee Clinic is very good, if you do not disconnect from the Internet. If you disconnect and need to scan for viruses, such as with a laptop that does not have internet connection in a public library (where you cannot connect to the network) it is problematic, but doable. Mcaffee Clinic has free online storage for programs that you uninstall for when you want to restore them to your computer. If you use the computer when it is not connected to the Internet, you will need to use Antivirus Scan software in stead of Mcaffee Clinic. Virus scan and Clinic are not compatible and can cause software conflicts, so you must uninstall Virus Scan before installing Clinic. Whenever you want to use the virus scan offline, you can uninstall Clinic and reinstall Virus scan. That was my plan in principal, but it is too complicated to be practical for me. I like the ease of scanning with Clinic and the security of always being up to date. The let you run 2 copies if one is for a laptop. --------------------------------------- Madeline Buchanan wrote: > Has anyone had experience with McAfee Virus Clinic as opposed to the regular > McAfee virus software?
