Target: Need current paraprofessional salaries

    I am in the process of trying to convince my head of school and our CFO
to hire an assistant for our high school library.  Right now it's just
little old me and I am swamped.  My administrator has asked me to find out
what it would cost us to hire an assistant.  Can I hear from all of you on
this.  What are your assistants earning?  I've already checked the archives
but the lastest numbers there are from 1997.  I will also check to see if
the journal Libray Mosaics (for and about library paraprofessionals) puts
out a salary and placements survey like Library Journal does.  Thanks in
advance for your help. Your prompt responses will be great as my
administrator is meeting with the CFO tomorrow.  I will post a hit if their
is a demand for it.
