The computer teacher at my school is asking her students, for extra credit , to find out if "website" is spelled as one word or two. She's asking them to bring in some verification, and they'll receive extra credit. The problem is, she's not sure herself. We've checked several different reference sources, both in print and online, and while the majority point to it as one word, we're still seeing it also listed as two. Does anyone know if it's been definitely established as one word?
