Answers for Lorax Suggestions

Hi, I'm sorry that I did not respond promptly.  I've had some other concerns
at hoooome and was not online much.  I did wnat to post a hit - I got some
tips on how to so it - but it seems more than I can handle.  Cutting and
pasteing???????
Here are some suggestions:

One person suggested making a list of everything that comes from trees.  How
can we care for these?  How can we extend the life of these things?

Write a poem or a letter thanking a tree for what it provides.

List all occupations of the characters in The Lorax.

List themes that lead to research.

Worksheet activities are available from Across the Curriculum with Favorite
Authors:
two examples are "Forest of Truffula Trees" - outlines so that children can
make a forest for their room; and "Once there was a Oncelor":  the arms of
the oncelor are drawn, the face not shown so that the student can use their
imagination.
