LM_NET: Library Media Networking
I've been too busy today to follow this thread , but "what I did today" is
a topic I don't see mentioned that often so I will share.
I spent my day providing staff development to about 25 teachers. Following
that round of training I met with staff from the tehcnical college to plan
our summer staff development offerings. Tomorrow I will work more on
that--lining up instructors, organizing it etc.
The classes I taught today dealt with the successful integration of
technology in the curriculum. They were:
practical tips for integrating technology in your curric.
powering up student internet projects
using primary sources in teaching and learning
Aother person taught the "how to" classes.
I spend a good chunk of my time on staff development and consider it one
of my most important roles. I can't teach 1000+ kids; I can teach teachers
who in turn teach the kids. I also know that administration considers
this to be one of the most important roles.
