GEN : Book Title needed

Dear Library people,

I need your help finding the title of a book.  The plot is about a
girl who
finds a way into a secret garden and house.  She plays and works there
unknown to the owners of the garden.  She buys tools to work in the
garden.
Later, she is discovered and is adopted by the people whose deceased
child
once played in the house and garden.
One of my teachers is about 30 and she remembers this book and would
like to
read it to her class?!?
