Not sure if I should laugh or cry -

I was congratulating a 3rd grader today for making it
7 days without TV or video games for TV Turnoff Week.
When I asked her if it was difficult she said "Not
really because I love to read."
I told her that she might grow up to be a librarian
someday and her response was:

"I was thinking about it, but my Mom said I'm too
smart. She wants me to be a doctor."  :(
