I am a new school librarian in an elementary school. I replaced someone in February. She bought cassette players (like a walkman') to go along with a new audio book collection she started. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should circulate these. Should I let students check them out just as they would a book? I'm wondering if I should purchase a set for each teacher to have in the classroom. Then when a student needs one to listen to a book, they will have access to a player. Should I make sure that a paperback is with the audiobook so that students will get the full reading benefit or is that too much? What about batteries? Thanks!
