Eric Carle has wonderful material and a video available for an author = study on how he creates his pictures for his book. He can be reached at = P.O. Box 485, Northampton, MA 01088. My elementary students were = fascinated with the video and the story that Mr. Carle tells. We then = created our own animals using a similar technique. Great fun! Then = were wrote our own stories about our newly created animals. We shared = our stories and hung our pictures around the room. Deborah M.
