Beginning year lesson plans for grades 5-8

Hi,

I am submitting this again because I forgot to put my email address in the=20
signature. Sorry!

I finally went and actually got hired as an SLMS with 22 days to go before=20
school starts. My school has regularly scheduled library classes for all=20
grades K-8. I have some great ideas for the first couple of weeks with the=20
littler ones but I'm having trouble thinking of introductory lesson plans fo=
r=20
the older kids. Is there anyone out there with experience in this? =A0My pas=
t=20
experience didn't include grades 5-8 coming in regularly.
