I just received an aging report in the library where I am starting
that shows that 43% of the materials in my library are over 30 years
old. This number shocked me! I am wondering if there is a standard
for this. Does this seem high to anyone else? What might be an ideal
number or something I can set a goal to? (Note: I am a first year
librarian) Thanks for any input.
