Jackie, could this be the poem in question? By Trumbell Stickney: Sir, say no more. Within me 't is as if The green and climbing eyesight of a cat Crawled near my mind's poor birds. I found it at Representative Poetry On-Line which is done by the faculty of the Department of English at the University of Toronto. Nice resource, especially for the English majors among us (my undergraduate degree.) One can search by title, author, first line, or keyword and there is also a timeline of poets and poems, a glossary or poetic terms and forms, and writings on poetry. It's great fun to poke around in there and your English department will love it!
