TARGET ELEM: Reading Suggestions

Hello! I'm a first year media specialist and am curious to know what you
read to students on their first visit to the library for the new school
year. Do you have special "first visit" books?

I'm looking for either a picture book, short story, or exciting book chapter
to read to grades k-6. I'd like to read a different story or book to each
grade level.

I searched the archives under "first day of school" and reading, but mostly
found advice rather than reading suggestions. If there is a list already
created that someone can direct me to I would appreciate it. Thank you!
