(Oops, I dated myself). I'm amazed that I remember it. I don't have a book source, but I can give the you the definition of the word as I remember it. The Humunculus Theory goes back to the days before the knowledge of cells, specifically the sperm cell. It refers to a reproductive theory in which life springs from a humunculus contained in sperm. The humunculus was supposed to be a fully formed individual in the sperm, too small to be seem with any known instruments. Humunculation would be the process from which a human being grows from the humunculus. Does that make any sense within the context of its use in the Erdich book?
