library makeover

Hi
In a couple of months my library will start the process of changing from a
grade 3-6 library to a 6-8 library.
My principal asked if I would design a dream library (in the existing space)
what would I include. I believe he wants me to include all the aspects of
the library from designing areas  for research to production areas. In your
opinions what are the What are the "must haves" and what are the "I wished I
had " services, materials and other resources in a middle school library?
