For us all:

Serendipitously, I'm here in the library preparing a bibliography for
a newsletter, reading introductions to write annotations, and these
sentences jump off the page at me, from the introduction to the book,
Skills for life: information literacy for grades 7 - 12 (Linworth
Publishing):

"Students today are faced with an almost toally different world than
we were at their age. Beloit (Wisconsin) College faculty try each
year to give everybody on staff the 'big picture' regarding incoming
freshmen."

Cheers. Edith.

Subject: Kids Today Won't Experience?

I have a teacher who has to give a speech and he wanted to know the
name of
college that does an information list of the things kids today won't
experience because of the things that happened, etc. before they were
born
and have went out of style. Kids born after 1984 won't know about 8
track
tapes, having to turn the tv on; maybe never used a record player,
typewriter, etc. I hope someone will know what I'm talking about or
have a
copy of that list.
TIA
