Dear Colleagues, Our school district has recently filled an elementary library position by hiring a lovely woman with years of public library experience. She has asked me for guidance with her K-5 classes. It seems they are quiet while she reads them stories, but when she segues into library lessons, they are very chatty and distracted, in spite of her efforts to get them to pay attention. It has been many years since I was an elementary librarian so I am turning to you for help. Are there any discipline/classroom management techniques you could share with us? Any advice will be appreciated!! Thank you. Marie A.
