I am the Librarian at a K-12 school. Our collection includes several AR titles. When the AR program began, the former librarian began using round colored dots for each reading level. This method seems to work very well for my school. However, the real concern is not color coding but how you will house the books. Will you shelve them on a place put aside for them or will add them to the general colection. It is easier for students to pick out a AR book if they are shelved in one area. You need to be aware though, that if you shelve them in their own area that your students may not check out as many of the other books in your collection. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
