LM_NET Archive

First a big thank you to everyone who made these hits possible, especially
Barbara Braxton who posted my request on the Australian teachers list-serv!

Many people also asked me for the Cinderella lists that I have - actually I
got them from other LM-NET postings:
http://ericir.syr.edu/plweb-cgi/fastweb?getdoc+listservs+LM_NET+13339+2+wAAA
in particular.
If you do a search at the LM-NET archives there are several lists and lesson
plan ideas there.

There is a bibliography at:
www.ucalgary.ca/~dkbrown/cinderella.html

A webquest at:
www.plainfield.k12.in.us/hschool/webq/webq121/

I also found a bibliography on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/listmania/list-browse/-/21X1XKDU9FQS/qi
d=1007648030/sr=5-1/ref=sr_5_10_1/002-4548211-0679211
if this link doesn't work, just do a book title search on "Cinderella" and
you will see a link to a Multicultural Cinderella booklist that was created.

There is a bibliography in: Pike, Kathy and Jean Mumper. Books don't have
to be flat: innovative ways to publish students' writing in every curriculum
area.
New York: Scholastic Professional Books, 1998.

There is a Cinderella lesson plan in: Roach, Catharyn and JoAnne Moore.
Teaching library skills in grades K through 6. New York: Neal-Schuman,
1993.

Mailbox magazine, Primary issue April/May 2001 has an article and
reproducibles for Cinderella.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
Here are the Australian responses!
++++++++++
I think that Strawberry Peach and The Two Lumps of Lead would probably be
classified as an Aussie version - or perhaps New Zealand. Do you have it on
your list? It was published by Scholastic.

Hi, try Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories Cinderella retold by Glenn Robbins
and Rob Menzies published by Angus and Robertson ISBN 0207196079 - rather
funny. De at Wollongong Public School

++++++++++++

The only one I can think of is a book called Chunderella which is part
of a series called Twisted tales. The book is by Bill Condon publishered
by Hodder Headline Australia 1998. ISBN 0733608299 Not exactly the fairy
tale but a funny twist on the story.

+++++++++++++

The only version that I know of is called Alex and the glass slipper by
Amanda Graham.
It is unusual in that it is back to back with a version of Cinderella retold
and illustrated by Amanda Graham.

Published by Martin International in association with Era Publications,
Flinders Park , South Australia. 1991

ISBN    0-947212-97-3  ( hardcover)
             0-947212-98-1  (paperback)

It is still in publication and the website for the Publishers is
www.erapublications.com
