Hi, Yesterday during a conversation with NCLIS and Washington ALA office folks it was mentioned to me that Rep. Ralph Regula from district 16 in Ohio is intending to cut out the 25 million in designated funding for school lobraries from teh ESEA bill. He is chair of the house side of the conference committee so he is in a position to acomplish what he wants. Please if you are a constituant of his contact his office and explain the impact such an action would have. While others could share their comments it is his constituants that will be able to have the most impact. This is a NOW action item. They are having their committee discussions now. Thanks for any help. M. Ellen Jay Prof. Dev.
