TARGET: National Geographic on CD

I have the National Geographic Collection on CD for "109 Years."  Before I
opened it, someone told me that the quality of this package wasn't very
good.  I know you can pay a small fee for the updates, but has the overall
quality of the product improved with the newer versions (I think it's now
112 Years)?  Is it worth returning this package to get the update?

Thanks for any advice on this product.
