I used to do this in my former school in the spring. The kids would wait for
this for months. We always sold alot. Scholastic sent a good variety, but you
have to also tell them what YOU want, ie. extra journals and diaries,
pencils, certain authors, etc. I always told them to eliminate those "bonus"
packs because I not only was short of space, but the kids didn't buy
them...and the books were outdated in most cases.

You don't get any money from the BOGO, but you still get bonus points. I
always felt that the kids benefitted and that was the most important thing
for me.

Now, in my new position, I do not have to run the book fair because the PTA
does it and give the media center some money. Those words were music to my
ears!!
