Gen: Thanks

Thanks to all who sent recipes. The one that I got the most copies of is as follows:

4 cups dates, chopped
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 c milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
candied fruit as desired.

Mix all ingredients and bring to boil and boil 8 minutes.  Beat until
creamy.  Make into roll and wrap in damp towel.  Chill and slice as
needed

I will also try several others
