Cushman, Karen._Matilda Bone._Clarion, 2000 [0-395-88156-0] One again Cushman takes us to the Middle Ages, this time on Blood and Bone Alley. Matilda, an orphan who was raised in a religious rich man's home, is now sent to live with a colorful lady bonesetter. Having being used to servants, it is a hard adjustment to Matilda essentially being one herself in a very different life style. Matilda eventually makes peace with her new surroundings and friends with many of the colorful characters in the neighborhood. This 167 page book it told with the pithy humor of the author's previous books. *************** Frederick Muller Halsted Middle School Library 59 Halsted Street Newton, NJ 07860 voice (973) 383-7440 ext 228 FAX (973) 383-7432 My book reviews are compiled at: http://www.halsted.org/br.htm My personal web site is: http://users.tellurian.net/fmuller =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
