LM_NET: Library Media Networking
Well, here's one that's still got me scratching my head.
A 2nd grade boy ran huffing and puffing into the library. "I brung
my book back!" As he was empty handed, I thought he meant
he'd "brung" it back earlier.
"Good!" I said, "Want to check out another one?"
"I can't!"
"Why not?"
"Because I didn't bring my book back!"
"I thought you just said you brought it back?"
"I did!"
"Well, then, where is it?"
"In my backpack!"
I said, "Does your teacher know you're here?" He said yes.
I said, "Why does she think you're here?" He said so he could tell
me he'd "brung" his book back.
I said, "Does she know it's still in your backpack?"
He looked at me kind of funny and said, "I dunno."
I said, "Better go back to your room and get it out of your
backpack and ask her if you can come bring it back for real this
time."
Haven't seen him yet.
Happy Friday! Only one more week till vacation starts!!!
