Happy Holidays, everyone. In January, I will be doing a workshop to teach teachers how to use the periodical databases we subscribe to. I want to also be able to give them ideas on what to do with the magazine and newspaper articles they find now that they know how to access them. I checked the archives, and have also found some good ideas in the lesson plan section of Ask ERIC. Do any of you have activities that have worked successfully for you? I'd also like to include ideas for working with primary sources (historical as well as current)-- I do know about the American Memory collection and accompanying activities. I will be working with teachers from grades 4 through 8. Will be happy to post a hit, to share ideas if there is interest. Thanks! Shayne Russell Media Specialist Mt. Laurel Hartford School Mt.
