GEN: Risograph duplicator

We're sorting out our duplicating woes and needs.  Please help.
Our spirit duplicator ("ditto machine") and ThermoFax (makes overhead
transparencies and the dittos to put into the spirit duplicator) are not in
good condition.  Our district is looking into replacing our ailing plain
paper copiers also.  One of our options is to buy a Risograph, of which I
know very
little.  The question posed to me was "Can the Risograph replace our need
for the ThermoFax?"  That is, can it make the dittos to go into the spirit
duplicator?
