Target: Great Expectations

We have a teacher in our school who has been through the Great Expectations
training.  She is trying to track down the author of many of the daily Great
Expectations quotes.  His name starts with a "Z" and she is wanting more
information about him.

Naturally, I left his name on my desk at school and she needs the
information tomorrow.

Have any of you had this training?
Can you help me with the author's name?
Can you help with any information about the author of these quotes?
