Target: Is Spectrum's Retrospective conversion cost worth it?

Dear LM Netters,

I am about to commit to upgrading our Winnebago Cir/Cat 7.0.1 system to the
Winnebago Spectrum Suite - the sale price of $1895 has lured my tight
budgeted principal to offer to pay for either the program or the
Retrospective conversion - price tag $1845 for our 10,000+ volume library.
I would like to hear from those of you who have used this service, what it
entails and whether you felt it was worth the price.
Also, I would like to hear from any of you who may have done this process "in
house"; how many staff hours were used, how difficult it was etc.
I am the one and only staff at a year-round elementary school with 32 classes
that visit the library 30 minutes each week. Is it even feasible for me to
consider doing it by myself?
