TECH-network problem

I wonder if anyone out there could help with my Sony laptop. I recently =
was set up so I could access the school network with my laptop. I cannot =
get into the laptop without being plugged into the network. This means I =
can't use the laptop at home.=20

It won't let me past the network password screen. When I hit cancel, it =
goes to the "network could not validate you ruser name" message, and =
cycles right back to the login screen.=20

Help!
