Hi folks
Someone was after Australian Christmas recipes so thought you might like
this one ...it is so simple and so appropriate for a Christmas Day that is
predicted to be in the mid-90s (your language) across most of the continent.

Soften about 2 litres of icecream(depends on how many you are serving).
Swirl in some raspberries, choc chips, crushed nuts, pink marshmallows and a
splash of something strong if that is your fancy. Tip the lot into a
dome-shape bowl and freeze.

Melt some chocolate over hot water - maybe add a touch of oil if it is a bit
thick. Soften the icecream just a tad by dipping the bowl in hot water and
upturn it on to a plate (so that it has that traditional Christmas pudding
shape). Refreeze for a minute or so. Pour over the melted chocolate.
Freeze again. Decorate with swirls of cream, strawberries and kiwifruit on
the top and around the base. Lick your fingers! Serve with fresh fruit
salad - usually diced apples, oranges, pineapple, kiwifruit, watermelon and
strawberries.

If you want to be seriously classy, then cover an upturned bowl with baking
paper. Melt some more choccie (I do do chocolate well) and pour over the
paper. Leave in a cool place to set. Gently, gently turn it over and
remove the bowl and then the paper. Then fill it with your fruit salad JUST
before you are going to serve it.

Another one for Christmas parties is chocolate salad. Nick down to your
local store that sells lollies loose and fill a bag with all the ones with
chocolate in or on them. Use a basket (cane or chocolate) and fill it with
the lollies! Voila! Guarantee there won't be a problem with leftovers!

Happy holidays everyone - Australian schools are now ALL on their long
holiday (or will be come 3.00pm today) and we open for business again at the
beginning of February. But some of us will be here to meet your requests
should you have any - we would hate you to need us and us not be there  :>}
