Opinions on Jones Article/Sardes request

Dawn Sardes' message inspired me to read the Jones article
immediately ; it is good "food for thought" and a reminder to me
personally that I don't spend enough time with kids.   We have a
strong media/tech program; he kids say  they have good access to
resources and tehcnology.     But, the demands of the job are such
that I've become more of a program manager than a teacher who works
individually with kids; or has time to get to know more than just a
handful of our 1200 students.   But, I know they like coming to the
media center and fortunately I have good support staff. In an ideal
world we'd have enough staff to provide more individual attention and
create a calmer, less frantic atmosphere than we often have.
