Good morning and a happy new year to all. I have been speaking with recruiters (a.k.a. 'sales people') from the NYCBOE about working as a librarian in the NYC schools. I am looking for input - anything that you can tell me about what it is like to work in the schools... resources? budget? working with the kids? staff? perks? problems? I want a genuine reality check so that I know what I will be possibly walking into. Is anyone out there retiring from a position in June that is looking to make sure that their school library falls into good hands (hint, hint) All help most appreciated and will be kept confidential - if so desired. Thanks. Lori K Joffe Currently Temping Philadelphia, PA lkjof@icdc.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
