One of my schools is participating in Scholastic Reading Counts for the first time this year and they have encountered a problem for which Scholastic seems to have no answer. The problem is this: When printing colored labels for the books that they have in the library collection, the labels print out in a color that does not necessarily correspond to the reading level of the book. Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution to this problem? In the meantime they figure they can print the labels in black and white and add colored tape. Which brings to mind a second problem: The colored spine labels that they ordered from Scholastic are not very good quality, as the colors are already wearing off. That means they'll have to go back and put clear tape over all of those tagged books. Anyone else have similar problems?
