Hi group, I am beginning a unit on folk tales with 3rd grade and showed a video of storytellers. One of the tales involved a giant that fell from a huge cornstalk and, rather than bury him, the people diverted a stream to fill the hole. The result was a lake named Lake Anna. Of course my third graders want to know if there really is a Lake Anna in NC. I have looked in all of my NC books to no avail (the lakes aren't named), and have only found a lake with this name in VA on the web. SO, all of you in North Carolina, is there a Lake Anna somewhere down there? Thanks!
