I read the article that George Boyer suggested to be read about the tediousness of Newberrys. I must say I have to agree with some of what the article pointed out, not all but some. Most of the Newberrys do seem depressing. Wonderfully exciting and imaginative books are written every year and seem to fall by the way side. However, the writer seemed to miss some of the more recent winners. I think the tone of the lastest winners has been more up beat, more positive.
