If you open the email to forward, that activates the virus, Or,
your email program may open a message to forward it without
your knowledge. The email only comes as an attachment, not
as a message and an attachment. The safe way to handle a
virus message is to send a separate message to your Sys
admin telling him about the problem. If he wants to trace the
message, or if you would like to trace the message, he should
know a safe way of looking at the headers. ( I know safe
ways to do it, but I'm not going to put them on the list, since
the possibility for making mistakes and activating a virus/worm
is too high).
