GEN:school-public library cooperation

The Multnomah County Library in Portland Oregon
has been awarded an LSTA planning grant to look at
ways our public library can work with school libraries
to help contribute to student
success.  We will be looking at the variety of
collaborative models and programs between school and
public libraries currently being implemented
throughout the nation.
If you are involved in collaborative projects with
your local public libraries, we would appreciate
hearing from you with descriptions of your project.
These can be any type or level of cooperative project,
from a school homework center, to a more formal
arrangement with a written policy.  You may respond to
us directly at the address below or
to the list.
I am happy to compile responses and look forward to
hearing from you.
