Does anyone know any source or website that lists reciprocity for certification? I notice most of the out of state job postings understandably require the ability to become certified in their state, yet as someone living in Connecticut with permanent New York State SLMS certification, I have been told that I need additional coursework to obtain Connecticut certification. Without Connecticut certification the only public school option is as a long-term sub with no benefits. What is the situation with other states? Would any accept permanent NYS certification without time-consuming and costly additional coursework or student teaching? I will be happy to post a hit if I get any information that would be useful to others on the list.
