Target: 8th gr. Novel

Dear Folks,

Am feeling low...I just finished reading Whirligig aloud to our 8th grade
and the evaluations were not favorable!

Am trying to find another novel to read that they can really get
into..maybe a sci fi or something...any help is appreciated that has been
tried and works.
