Hi, We are using Follett Web Collection Plus in our 22 library district and some of the libraries have periodicals to loan. These show up in the union catalog, but when you pull them up by title, all you get is the record and then it tells you that there are "175 copies". These were originally cataloged using the year as the call number. I know that people won't call these up by call number, but what do the rest of you do if you catalog periodicals and allow people to request a hold on a particular issue? Do you just have them put the issue in the hold request? Or do you add copy information to the MARC record? I just can't find enough examples of libraries that catalog periodicals to arrive at a solution. Thanks for any help you can give us on this.
