Julie, I had a similar experience 3 years ago at a small rural school I have since left. The students playing "magic" were guiet and well behaved and came in during lunch and played. A teacher passing through saw them and complained to the principal. I researced articles on the game and presented them to him. He decided to ban the game. It was my first year there and I subsequently learned he was going to retire in 2 years and didn't want any problems his last years. The students later started playing the same type game with "Babylon 5" and "Pokemon" cards and there was no problem.
