My newest joy in life (Okay, so I lead a quiet life!) is listening to two
new "radio" programs on the net. I thought I would share in case you would
like to tune in, too.

I listen to Loose Leaf Book Company, a weekly hour-long adult program about
children's literature. It is thematic, and features interviews with
authors, etc. You can listen to it or read the transcript.

I also have been enjoying Scholastic Teacher Radio. This is a daily program
about all sorts of interesting things for educators. For instance I heard
Lucy Calkins talk there about the importance of reading aloud, and on
Fridays they have been having a picture book read aloud from Weston Woods
with permission to share with your class.

I often download and save portions (like Lucy Calkins) to listen to again
another time.

Enjoy, if you know of anything else like this, I'd love to know.
