Hi everyone, My closest friend is making the move to middle school and Year 7 (12/13 year olds) this year, after working with 5-8 year olds for the last three years. One of her many strengths is to put the fun into learning and meld the class together into a team through the performing arts and she is looking for ideas for 5 minute drama/ improvisation activities, preferably on a website rather than a publication. She wants enough to be able to pop them in as a regular activity just before the recess and lunch breaks. We have spent hours searching the 'net using all sorts of search terms, but have only found one site, and a search of Blue Web'n did not yield what she wanted. Can you help us please? Years ago I remember watching a television program where the contestants did charades and there were a set of basic 'instructions' that all knew to indicate book, music, movie title, number of words/ syllables, etc. For instance, tugging your ear meant 'sounds like'. Charades is not a big thing here, but it would be a great activity for these kids, so if anyone can send me the details of the 'instructions', I will pass these on to Kate. Alternatively, email her directly at smiffy@dynamite.com.au Thanks so much, Cheers Barbara Barbara Braxton Teacher Librarian Palmerston District Primary School PALMERSTON ACT 2913 AUSTRALIA T. 02 6205 6162 F. 02 6205 7242 E. barbara@dynamite.com.au W. http://www.palmdps.act.edu.au "Together, we learn from each other." =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
