The following message from Scholastic is posted with the permission of the LM_NET list owners. Dear LM_Netters, On behalf of Scholastic, I am responding to the complaints that have been aired recently on LM_NET concerning the binding of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We apologize for the problems some of you have experienced. Scholastic's policy is to replace free of charge, normally within 30 days, any product you bought directly from Scholastic that proves unsatisfactory. We have decided, for a limited time only, to offer LM_NET members a more generous version of this policy. From now until March 15, 2001, we will replace, free of charge, any copies of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in your current school library collection that you consider to have unacceptable bindings, regardless of when or from whom you purchased them. To get your free replacement copies, return your unsatisfactory copy/ies to Scholastic, and enclose a letter requesting the replacement copy/ies. Your letter must be on school or school district letterhead. Please make sure the address to which the books should be sent is clearly and legibly stated. Send the books and letter to: Catalogs Customer Service Dept., Re: LM_NET Harry Potter Replacement Offer, Scholastic Inc., 2931 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. This offer to LM_NET members is good until March 15, 2001. If you have any questions, you may call toll-free 1-800-SCHOLASTIC (800-724-6527). When you hear the recorded menu of options, press 3 to reach our Catalogs Customer Service department. You may also contact us by email: custserv@scholastic.com.
